Protect Your Computer with a Simple Trick

Most computer users / laptops think that they simply provide protection on the device by installing antivirus and the like. But there are other easier tricks that will help your Mac or PC become more secure than ever before. Believe it or not, the trick that will be spelled out later does not involve an antivirus application or writing a specific command line in Windows. Protect your computer can be done in a simple way.

One of the biggest events to secure a device is to limit the use of device accounts to one person, or in this case: it's best that you have access to the device and you do not publish it to someone else. Use this method in daily computer usage activities, whether as you browse the internet or do something with Office applications.

Even if you give access to use to others, make sure that those who use them also get restrictions. For example: save your administrator account for computer administrative tasks. Using this means keeping infections outside, such as viruses or malware, on both PC and Mac, does not interfere with overall device performance.

Because it would be better if you do not authorize other users to install, modify, or uninstall the software. In the present day, people can do it by setting passwords and users at the administrative level, and this should be set only for you as a primary user and as the owner of the device.

How to Make Account Restrictions?

Both Apple and Microsoft usually manage users with administrator rights, by default. That is, it has become a system default. But the fact is you only need one account for one device, while other users should be restricted when accessing your laptop or PC or Mac device.

Setting account restrictions is actually very easy, but the way is likely to be similar in every version of Windows.

  • In Windows 7. Point your mouse cursor to Start >>> Control Panel >>> Add or Remove User Accounts. Or you can also choose the User Accounts >>> Create New Account option. Type the desired username, then select the Standard User button and then click Create Account. The next step is to create a password by clicking Create Password and enter the desired password.
  • In Windows 8 or 8.1. Tap parts of Windows and I key simultaneously to access Settings menu. Select Control Panel, and then Add or Remove User Accounts or select User Accounts. The available options depend on the display options in your Control Panel. Then select Create a New Account, then type in the desired username. Select the Standard User button and click Create Account. Then the last step: click Create Password and enter the desired keyword.
  • Hover over Start >>> Settings >>> Accounts >>> Family & Other Users. Then click "Add someone else to this PC." The next step is to select the option "I do not have thus person's sign-in information" and click Next. (Ignore the command to enter the user's email address and phone number.) On the next screen you can select "Add a user without a Microsoft account" and click Next. In versions of Windows 10 Professional Editions and Windows 10 Home, the two previously requested steps are missing. Then on the next screen you just type in the desired username and password. Next click Next.

Now, protecting your computer from unpleasant deeds can be applied casually. That's the simplest way to secure your computer and laptop. Easy is not it? Everyone seems to be able to do it.
